Exporting Tags from E-Discovery Platforms

Heureka's ACT (Advanced Classification & Tagging) supports importing of tag information from E-Discovery providers. Locate your E-Discovery review platform below for details on how to export tag data for use in Heureka.

Relativity users can export tag decisions and reapply them back into the Heureka Platform. Once imported, tags will be displayed at the file level for any search run in Heureka giving the user knowledge and context around files that have been reviewed. File knowledge continues to grow as tags are imported. Follow the steps below to export your tag information.

Prerequisite - Heureka uses the MD5 or SHA-1 hash value as an "overlay" within the system. You must have a MD5 or SHA-1 hash present in your Relativity database in order to overlay into Heureka.

Steps for Exporting
  1. Create a new view in Relativity called "Heureka Tagging View". This can be accomplished by selecting the view drop-down at the top of your Relativity workspace and selecting "New View" (Figure 1)
  2. Set Object Type to "Document"
  3. Enter Name as "Heureka Tagging View"
  4. Select Owner & Order
  5. Narrow fields to only those you wish to import back into Heureka. NOTE: The Edit, and either SHA-1 Hash or MD-5  are mandatory fields.
  6. Save and select your Heureka Tagging View in Relativity
  7. Select one or all documents you would like to import back into Heureka (Figure 3)
  8. At the bottom of your grid, select "Export to File" and then select "Comma Separated Values (.csv) as your format.
  9. Select "Run" on your export pop-up screen
  10. Locate your exported CSV file and save to a known location.
