Collecting Files

Files collected by your Heureka system are currently stored in one of two places; Google Cloud or your on-premises FTP location.

Collection Limitations

Maximum file size: 100MB

Container Support: PST, OST, ZIP

*Cannot collect from files that are locked by the operating system or from files that have been deleted or moved from their originally indexed location.

Cloud

Storage Location: Google Cloud

Transfer Protocol: FTPS (FTP over TLS port 21)

Collection Retrieval Method: FTP software such as Filezilla, WinSCP or Cyberduck 

(ftp.poc.heurekasoftware.com) / (ftp.dev.heurekasoftware.com)

*FTPS is applied on the ftp server using pure-ftpd (https://www.pureftpd.org/project/pure-ftpd) with explicit security applied.

*Pure-ftpd is configured to reject non-encrypted commands and data. There is a passive port range of 40110-40210.

Data on Google Cloud is encrypted at rest.

On-Premises

Storage Location: On Premises (behind client Firewall)

Transfer Protocol: SFTP (over SSH)

*On Premises uses a Docker container serving sftp
