Interrogate's search engine uses Stopwords. Stopwords are words that have no significant meaning when performing keyword searches. These words are ignored during the indexing process and will not be considered as part of a search. 

In the examples at the right, you will notice that stop words are not highlighted in the keyword match results. This demonstrates that stop words are not part of the index.

 

Stop Words

"a", "an", "and", "are", "as", "at", "be", "but", "by", "for", "if", "in", "into", "is", "it", "no", "not", "of", "on", "or", "such",
"that", "the", "their", "then", "there", "these", "they", "this", "to", "was", "will", "with"
